Nestled on the line between Cary and Apex lies Harmony, a recently developed subdivision that combines ideal location with beautifully modeled homes. Built between 2007 and 2010, Harmony offers a range of homes between 2,200 and 5,000 square feet to suit any sized family.
Comfortably situated between Money Magazine’s #19 (2014) and #1 (2015) “Best Places to Live in the USA”, Harmony’s location allows its residents to have the best of both worlds. Home to some of North Carolina’s top rated public schools and the Research Triangle Park, Cary bears a prosperous reputation, making Harmony the quintessential neighborhood for raising a family. Residents enjoy living near an array of parks, restaurants, and shopping centers in both directions, but can still retreat to their quiet, cozy corner of town at the end of each day.
Harmony is a small yet well-developed Cary neighborhood with a great feeling of collectiveness shared by its residents. Each evening the neighborhood comes to life – scenes of friends meeting at benches to chat, neighbors relaxing on porches, and families heading to the pool create a warm sense of community, noticeable even to visitors.
Upon entering the neighborhood and passing Turner Creek Elementary School, the main road provides biking lanes on either side as well as conveniently placed pet waste stations. Harmony’s community center can be found in the middle of the neighborhood, acting as a hub for residents of all ages. Behind the beautiful two-story clubhouse (available to reserve for events through the Harmony Homeowner’s Association) you can find a large pool with water slide and a kiddy pool, each with a lifeguard during pool hours. Tennis courts, basketball hoops, and a playground are located just outside the clubhouse area, catering to a broad range of interests and age groups.
Turner Creek Elementary and Local Schools
Just inside Harmony’s entrance is Turner Creek Elementary School, which features a large library with computer lab, multiple playgrounds, and well-equipped classrooms tailored to each grade. Part of the Wake County Public School System, Turner Creek employs a friendly staff and hosts an actively involved PTA. Conveniently within walking distance, residents of Harmony can easily drop off and pick up children enrolled at TCES.
Schools for all other age groups are also close at hand. Only two blocks away from Harmony is the Primrose School of West Cary, with preschool services ranging from infant to pre-kindergarten. Davis Drive Middle School is located less than three miles from the entrance to the neighborhood, while older students have the choice of Panther Creek High School or Green Hope High School, all of which are WCPSS schools.
The Triangle Math and Science Academy and Cardinal Charter Academy, both public charter schools, are home to some of Cary’s most driven students. At TMSA, students engage in a variety of grade-based academic contests, such as geography bees, science fairs, and robotics competitions. Each school offers its students an enriching learning environment, allowing students of all ages to push their academic limits.
Harmony’s cornerstone location creates ease of access to many shopping, entertainment, and dining options. Been trying to get back in shape? Having a Starbucks right down the street is the perfect motivation to go for a morning run! In the immediate area you’ll find pharmacy, grocery, and hardware stores, as well as plenty of places to grab a bite to eat including Daniel’s Restaurant – a local favorite. Beaver Creek Commons, the go-to shopping center of the area, is located just a few blocks over. At the Commons nearly a dozen restaurants, a diverse assortment of stores, and Regal’s Beaver Creek Cinemas come together to create a unique and convenient one-stop shopping experience.
In the opposite direction – but still close to home – is Cary’s largest park, Fred G. Bond Metro Park. The park is home to a public amphitheater, over four miles of running trails, a variety of athletic fields, and Bond Lake, which welcomes boaters and fisherman alike. The park’s trails are currently under planning to become the core of a vast, interconnected greenway that circuits the entire town of Cary. With such a wide range of activities, Bond Park is the perfect place for a weekend outing without breaking the bank or straying too far from home.
